"My Name is, Clarice 'Precious' Jones"

Precious is an unforgettable film. It took Hollywood by suprise & earned Monique her first Oscar for "Best Supporting Actress". I have never been one to judge someone based on how they look. Still, I'm aware of the fact that some people choose to. Last week, on his radio show, Howard Stern & his co-anchor (which happens to be a black woman) talked about how Gabourey Sidibe wouldn't amount to anything in Hollywood due to her physical appearance. Well, these beliefs are already being challenged. Gabourey is set to star in the dark comedy series "The Big C" for the Showtime network. 13 episodes will be shot; starting in May. After that, Sidibe has a supporting role waiting for her in the indie film, "Yelling To The Sky". Shoutout to Gabourey for continuing to make a new for herself despite the negativity. I am excited about seeing more of her!
