Twittering Tweets

I'm sure you've all heard of twitter. It is probably the fastest growing form of social networking being used today. When twitter first burst onto the scene in July 2006 I thought it was rather silly & unnecessary. Why would people want to know what other people (who they don't know) were doing at random times throughout the day? It just didn't make sense to me. At first, iI thought people were just tweeting things like, "I'm in the shower" or "I'm eating". Yes, people do tweet things like this but no one's tweets forced to be this vague all the time. It's up to you to decide what the purpose of your twitter is. Are you using it to inspire, make people laugh, promote, or even, hate? I enjoy making new friends & I would like to think of myself as somewhat inspirational ;) so these are my reasons for using twitter. I have met some AWESOME people thanks to twitter. Celebrities are also using twitter! Perhaps the best thing about twitter is that no matter who you are or where you're from your voice can be heard. Even if it's through random updates of 140 characters or less.
